A small minority of activists are seeking to overturn the Australian Labor Party’s strong support for marriage between a man and a woman.

This action is planned for the ALP’s national conference which begins in Sydney on Thursday.

You can help stop this by phoning ALP Members of Parliament – especially if you live in a Labor electorate.

Please politely ask them to oppose any moves to undermine the ALP’s policy on marriage at the conference. More information is in this media release and phone numbers for ALP Members’ electorate offices can be found here.

Your action before close of business tomorrow (Tuesday July 28) will send a clear message that we value marriage and expect Labor to remain true to its election commitment. It is vital that we act now to ensure Labor policy on marriage is unchanged.
